My time has been limited…I haven't even had a chance in the past 2 weeks to talk to my mom…until yesterday!! I'm not sure what has been taking up my time…some traveling, no service… or simply the face that I'm just tired! i(I's probably mostly the latter.)
I'm currently in the process of re-organizing my work space…and life for the matter! It's time to be a true grown up and take my life my the horns! I love to organize, and write things down, and have a plan…and I'm note sure what happened, but the past few months, I've been a complete scatter brain! And not in a good way! I'm forgetting a lot of things (important things too), and I'm usually not like that.
So, I have invested in a disc bound planner. Not sure why I didn't get a planner sooner… or continue to use one after college. I just can't rely on my phone calendar, or the countless pieces on paper with notes on the them stashed in my purse! Makes me shudder just to think that I have been trying to live my life this way! I have purchased planner pages from ThePolkaDotPosie, and [Jennifer] has been super helpful…but it hasn't exactly been the easiest ride (totally on my end!!!) I realized my printed just wasn't going to cut it, and it hasn't been cutting it for years. I purchased a new HP Envy 4500, and so far I'm loving it! I'm surprised I didn't go too crazy at Staples today…. I LOVE office supplies.
I'm printing pages for my new planner as I type…I'm so excited that this is finally working out for me (so far!) Once the planner is all done, I'll try to remember to post pictures… but of course I'll have to write myself a reminder to do so!
Until then,

SSS Wednesday Challenge
Since I had a snow day today, I got some extra time to do some crafting! YAY! I had some card ideas in my head, including a Valentine's one, so when I saw that Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday Challenge was featuring hearts, I knew I had to enter my card! Here it is:
The square in the middle is a vellum pocket sealed with love printed wash tape and filled with sequins. The heart is Copic colored white card stock and cut with a heart shaped punch. It's so girly and simple at the same time! Love it!
I ordered a WPlus9 stamp and die set last week, and been having fun with it! When I get some more time, I'll share my creations! I also ordered some sequins from PrettyPinkPosh, and I'm so excited for those to come in!
Thanks for stopping by!

From one crafter to another
Knowing that I am a crafty person - my friend (who is also crafty) who is due in March with her first child asked me to make her a cloud mobile for the nursery. She had seen one that she liked on Pinterest/Etsy that cost way more than she thought. Even though I am more of a card-maker, I do very much enjoy all paper crafts, so I was up for the challenge! Here is what I created:
I thought it came out awesome! I already had the white card stock, so I just had to buy the cloud dies and some fishing line. I ended up getting these from Simon Says Stamp. I gave the mobile to her as a baby gift - and she loved it! YAY!
I also wanted to share a new card technique that I've been trying out. Its like a splotched watercolor technique. I saw Kristina Werner do it in this video (and I've seen other people do it too - I just can't remember who!) Here's my version of that watercolor technique on a sympathy card:
I just love the look of it! It's so simple and classy. The sentiment and ribbon are from Stampin' Up.
That's all for today! Ta-ta for now!

A Few New Cards
My mom's birthday is today, and I have made her a pack of cards that she can use throughout the year:
And of course I have to share the birthday card I made for her! She hates flamingos! (It's a running joke in the family to give her something flamingo every so often, so when I saw Lawn Fawn's Gnome Sweet Gnome set I knew I had to have it!)

Hello 2014!
Wow! It's 2014! December and the Holidays flew by way too fast! I always enjoy Chirstmas - lots of quality time spent with the family. And for New Years Eve, I got to spend time with different friends, including one who came home in the beginning of December after spending 9 long months in Kuwait. Very happy to have him home - one of my S.O.'s best friends. Happy S.O. = happy me.
Although Christmas does not mean time for receiving gifts (in my opinion), I would like to share a gift I received from my S.O. that I am sure to have fun with. I have been wanting one of these for the past 10 years or so, lack of money forcing me not to buy it. A Nikon DSLR!!!
He has been so good to me lately, not sure what I have done to deserve it, but greatly appreciated nonetheless. I have started to play with all the settings - even though I don't really know what I'm doing. I'm excited to learn about the camera and photography more! And this means better blog photos!
With the new year, people tend to make resolutions that they usually fail at keeping (myself included!). That being said, I am not making any resolutions this year, instead I am going to:
Cheers to a Happy & Healthy 2014!!!

- Re-evaluate everything in my life. Get rid of the toxic stuff. Get my life back on track.
- Explore new possibilities and adventures.
- Send out cards for birthdays! (I'm a card maker, and I hardly ever send out my creations!)
- Get more organized.
- Take some artsy classes.
- Less stress. More yoga.
- Be healthy!
- Be happy!
Cheers to a Happy & Healthy 2014!!!
